Dan Ruskin

Managing Partner - investment, acquisitions, due diligence, strategy, turnaround and restructuring, organizational development, business development, operations consulting, startup and launch.

Dan Ruskin was the former leader and entity principal of Plante & Moran AFME (PMAFME) Management Consulting and Restructuring practice. Dan joined AFME in 1990, shortly after the company's founding, to expand its industrial and manufacturing engineering capabilities. He has worked at many different levels in the company, from a project engineer to CEO and owner. Dan's strengths evolved into building strong teams that can help clients meet their goals and enhance their profitability. Dan has also expanded client's partnerships with customers and suppliers. He has played a key role in Anchor's client's successes, leading in strategic planning, lean design and implementation, due diligence, crisis management, recapitalization, private equity, and working with lenders.

Dan has participated in over 300 successful engagements and has led projects at Dell, Caterpillar, The Carlyle Group, Alix Partners, GM, Delphi, Nissan, Navistar International, Volkswagen, Metaldyne, GE, Dow Chemical, CIT, Wachovia, PNC, BOA, JCI, Lear, Roush Racing, Ford, Volvo, TRW, and Teledyne Corporation.

Dan's background is in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial products industries. He served on the corporate production engineering management team at B F Goodrich / Rohr Industries and was an Industrial Engineer with the Teledyne Corporation. Dan founded Tennessee Financial Systems, a distributor of software for financial institutions and manufacturers, and served as its President and CEO.

Don Weathers

Managing Partner - consulting, distribution and logistics, turnarounds, lean manufacturing, manufacturing transitions, administration.

Don Weathers is a former consulting manager with the Restructuring and Operations Improvement practice of Plante and Moran AFME, PLLC. Prior to joining Plante & Moran AFME, Don was a managing principal with Steep Rock Associates, a management consulting firm with offices in Connecticut and Tennessee. Prior to that, he held executive level positions with AFME, Inc., Tridon Industries, a tier-one automotive supplier, and Textron Aerostructures, a supplier of large airframe structures to the defense and commercial aircraft industries.

His background includes extensive experience in turnarounds and restructurings, distribution and logistics, business development, materials management, lean manufacturing, systems development and implementation, personnel development, supplier development, plant consolidations and relocations, and others. Don has worked at numerous levels ranging from shop floor management to executive level positions. His experience consists of companies in aerospace, automotive, heavy truck, appliance, metal forming, machining, injection molding, remanufacturing, textile, and others in both consulting and full-time positions. Some of the companies include Textron, Tridon, Federal Mogul, Peregrine, Dow Chemical, Frigidaire, Alix Partners, TMB Industries, Imperial Group, and others.

Don's educational background includes a BS degree from Athens State College in Athens, Alabama and an MBA from the Jack C. Massey School of Business at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is APICS certified at the CPIM level and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor by the Exit Planning Institute. Don is a former president of the Tennessee Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association where he served from 2006-08. He also serves as an elected board member of the Wilson County School System, and is on the Board of Trustees for the Tennessee Unemployment Compensation Trust.
